I love the Heian kata for many positions deep and powerful movements in the direction of the traditional side of the Karate brought to expression. Shapes are more advanced in depth and range in difficulty with the movement from one side to the other forms teki Hangetsu forms as the most advanced EMPI a few names.
Sanchin is rarely taught as a beginner Geki Sai Kata I, nor the usual beginner kata Goju fukiyu and for certain types of Shorin.
Kata You're right, the basis for the rights of others is easy.
Although it is not my primary style, which I always liked / Pinan Kata Heian Shotokan Karate and other types of Okinawa.
